Hello there friends,
My names is Sarah, and I stand here before you today to show my ever growing passion for photography. From the simple things, to telling a love story, I want to capture the raw emotion of those moments. I want you to look at your images, and feel yourself being transported back into those very seconds, a memory sparked.
A little about me, I am a Mom of two and a Wife to a culinary genius. I grew up in Snohomish and only had the willpower to move to the next town over, because well, I like it here. Initially I went to school and studied Physical Therapy. After a decade of practicing, I joined my now husband and his family at their restaurant. It brought us many years of joy, fun, stress, hard work, and mainly - FRIENDSHIPS. Sadly, the pandemic made it extremely hard for us to continue on that journey, and with our growing family we decided it was best to close that chapter.
In my spare time you can find me with a camera in hand, adventuring with my family. Most winters we spend time on the slopes, working on our home remodel, or knee deep in a craft requested by the preschooler. Other times I may be nose deep in a historical fiction novel or with my headphones in listening to a true crime podcast. I also very much love tequila, and I am almost certain my blood isn't actually blood, it's cheese. I'm a little sassy mixed with a pinch of awkwardness and adhd.
After the pandemic, it was time to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. For the third time. I have always had a love for the arts, and spent many high school hours in an array of art medias, photography being one. So after many years of saying, "eventually I will", here I am with Blackbird Photography.
